2026-06-08   Child Seat Check

In partnership with Leeds Council, Good Egg Safety are running FREE child car seat checking events across West Yorkshire during 2026. Two thirds of child seats checked across the UK are fitted incorrectly. It only takes 5 minutes to get your car seat checked. So come along to Lotherton Hall on Friday 14th August from 10am to 3pm for a quick and easy check of your child's car seat for total peace of mind that they're sitting safely. 

2026-06-07   Aberford Literary Festival

Aberford Literature Festival is back for 2026 ? now a 3-day, all-weekend event! It's bigger - it's better - but most importantly it's still local, and it's all about community! Come along and enjoy on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June 2026. With more Guest Speakers, more ALF Awards, more genres of literature ? drama, poetry, crime thrillers, psychological thrillers, historic literature, 60s beat group fiction, youth authors and independent publishing. 

2026-05-27   Earthquake

Residents in Bramham, a few miles from Wetherby, might have noticed the tremor on Thursday (21st May) night. The British Geological Survey (BGS) has confirmed that the 1.2 magnitude quake hit the village at around 10.44pm on that date. It was a relatively deep seismic event, with the BGS recording a depth of 27km for the tremor near Leeds.

Wednesday night is Quiz Night at the Arabian Horse in Aberford. The quiz starts at 8pm.

Lotherton Hall?s annual 1940?s themed weekend takes place on Saturday 20th June from 10am to 4pm. Live performers Marina May and Luka Watabe will take you through the songs of the era.

The next meeting of Aberford Authors is at the Arabian Horse public house on Tuesday 12th May from 7pm to 8.30pm. Everyone is welcome, just come along. 

2026-05-08   Northern Alfa Day

Come along to Lotherton Hall on Sunday 14th June from 10am to 4pm for the muchR09;anticipated return of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and their Northern Alfa Day. Included with general admission and hosted in our event field, this special gathering brings together multiple generations of Alfa Romeos and their passionate owners.

Come along to Lotherton Hall on Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June for a weekend of Viking-themed activities, with living encampments, thrilling battle performances, kids? activities and lots of fun. Dress up and get involved.
